The firm was founded in 2010 by its Principal, Stephen Jackson, as a niche firm providing an expert service, more effective and at more reasonable cost than larger law firms were able to provide. The firm continues in that vein.
Where hourly rates are applicable our partner/senior solicitor rates tend to be 35% to 45% less than solicitors with equivalent experience in large commercial practices. Time and again, we face such practices in disputes and come out winning. Why? Because we specialise, we are enthusiastic, and we don’t pass the matter down to junior fee earners under pressure of a huge caseload. We put the time and effort in to all matters we deal with and get results.
That’s how we achieve record awards for our clients, such as the highest compensation award made by an Employment Tribunal in Wales at nearly £400,000 and the third highest disability discrimination award in UK history. That’s how we took a client, suspended from work on a salary of £17,000, to a pay out of £559,000 from her Council employer.
That’s why we have successfully defended claims for employer clients for considerably more, but you won’t hear of them because an unsuccessful claim is usually nothing to write about or because we’ve taken care of publicity when drafting the settlement agreement.
